Our team is inspired by one common belief – travel in order to see everything around us in detail, to walk the world with our own feet, to meet different customs and cultures, to experience authentic tastes and flavors. In order to share these views with our clients and respond to their diverse requirements and expectations, we have recruited a young team of experts, fluent in English, French, German and Spanish, passionate about Bulgaria and eager to “infect” visitors with their enthusiasm.
Our office is located in the capital city Sofia and it’s a real work-shop for travel with 2 full time employees. Additionally, we have more than 50 tour leaders and mountain guides, who run successful and responsible tours all over Bulgaria.

Ioanna Georgieva » travel consultant French, English, Russian
My childhood dream was to sell pancakes on the street. I wanted to give people reason to smile for a moment and leave them little bit happier then before. I really believe small details give color to life. I didn't plan to be in travel business at all, but the surprising twists of destiny lead me here and suddenly I liked it. Today I don't sell pancakes, but I find same pleasure helping you to realize your ideas and dreams about big and small adventure. Life is beautiful! Find youð small reasons to smile!
Lyubomir Popyordanov » Owner and Managing Director » French, English
Lubomir Popiordanov created Zig Zag Holidays travel agency in 1999. His background is huge: master of law, alpinist, passionate traveller, photographer, painter, author of over 100 articles and a book, producer of films, publisher and philanthropist… it is hard to mention all! He is also the co-founder of two associations: “Mountains and People” and the Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism. More than ever he spends time to participate in and initiate socially significant causes like nature protection and preservation of the Bulgarian cultural heritage. He believes that Bulgaria can be a prestigious place to live in. And more, that tourism can be developed in a responsible way and the mountains and protected territories can find their place in the hearts of all Bulgarians. Lubomir is married with three children.
“What I look for in all of my travels and adventures is the Man. And the Bulgarian man, I believe, even though a little bit suspicious in life, brings within his soul the spirit and the habits of old cultures and nations. To meet one of these men is the real reason for traveling and even… for living!”
