Starting from Sofia, you will have a 2-hour-transfer to the town of Tran, there begins the trail leading you through the gorge and reaching at its highest in a wonderful viewpoint .
A nice thing about this trip is that you can choose between a longer (6,30 hours) or a shorter (1,30h) hike, but whatever you do, do not miss the viewpoint - the panorama is worth enjoying.
You can make picnic or if you want to experience something new, you can eat in one of the local pubs - there is a very slight chance to meet any foreign tourists there - so you will eat and drink like Bulgarians do! Furthermore, the pubs are not like the ones in Sofia :)
